Hot N’ Cold

Happy Friday!

This image is from one of the coolest pedestrian bridges I’ve seen in person.  This bridge is just East of Millennium Park and is to mimic the Frank Gehry designed, Jay Pritzker Pavilion.  On the trip to Chicago, I made it a goal to try to get some simple shape/texture shots.  This is one of those shots that turned out pretty well.

While I was taking this picture, there were a bunch of young kids trying to climb the sides of the bridge.  Now obviously they were amateurs at this stuff cause they were doing it with their shoes on.  Where is the challenge in that?  Climbing this with just your socks on would be the real challenge!  These kids had the bright idea to go over to the steep side and slide down it.  Now this side is pretty darn steep and about 20 feet up.  They almost broke their legs of course.  I got a good laugh when I was walking off the bridge and a security guard saw them and gave them a good ear full.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
