Looking Up

Well we are back to the abandoned park that I posted about a few weeks ago.  I did some experimenting with this image that failed pretty badly, but that is the fun of post processing.  Trying new stuff out, failing, retrying, then succeeding.  When you finally get something that works out right, it is one of the best feelings.  You can sit back and say, “I created that!”

  1. I actually like it better when I bomb a processing and have to come back to it. There is something deeply satisfying when you are done and can just sit back and think “that is exactly what I wanted!” Great image today!

Nice shot, I love the black and white and the detail in the building, the perspective is perfect as well!

  7. Adam, I know what you mean. At least when something doesn’t work you know that you learned something though :). Nice image today.

  8. Very nice shot. The overhanging trees actually add another dimension to the entire photo.

I agree with you about trying some new processing techniques. Failing is part of learning. I have a few sitting on hold now that went badly but provide a chance to try another approach.
