Cinderella Castle (Neuschwanstein)
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend.
Because I did not get a chance to post on the blog a couple days last week, I decided to do one last day of Germany. I believe this will be my last image from this amazing trip, that is until I go digging through my photos again a few months down the road.
Today’s image is a view of Neuschwanstein Castle in Southern Bavaria. The image was captured on a lookout seen on a previous image of mine (Marienbrücke). Yes, the bridge was really that high up from the bottom of the Pöllat Gorge. I have two images because I wasn’t sure what processing I liked more. What do you think?

I really like the sharpness of the top image…I think the bottom is a bit too soft for me. Nice work on this one, dude 🙂

Wow, what a cool castle! I would have loved to have been there! Were you able to get inside at all? I’ll have to look up the history on it. I like the first picture better! I agree with Heath. Just a bit to soft for me.

Wow…simply beautiful! I also agree with Heath; the second one is just too soft and fairy-tale-ish for my taste. The first one is stunning!

Thank guys for all the comments and advice! Heath, you’re a pretty smart guy! Everyone agrees with you ;). But yeah, after coming home from work I see what you guys are saying. As the rest of you do, I agree with Heath.

I also like the first one, although the dreamy feel of the 2nd is nice too… Maybe selectively sharpen the castle in that one for the best of both worlds 🙂
That is a beautiful area, I was able to go when I was 14 and can’t wait to go back (with nicer gear). Love the vantage point with the rock face! Looking forward to more of your work!

Stunning viewpoint – nice capture. I agree with the above and prefer the first shot, finding the second a little too soft for my tastes. Saying that, I do prefer the blue sky emerging in the second image, and find the sky in the first to match a little to much into the roof of the castle. I would like to see a little of that blue sky brought into the first image (though not as bright as it is in image 2 as this would be a little too overpowering) just to give it a hint of colour. Again though, a great picturesque view.

I am sorry but both seems totally fake for me in spite of the picture itself is beautiful (as all of your photos btw ^^). The second is so kitsch with shinny colors and blury style.
Neither I like when you switch a same picture from color to B&W maybe it is because I am an old fashion B&W “photographer” with all the chemical stuff. Anyway, a B&W snap is not only switching a B&W button.
PS: btw your photos are by far better than my english ^^
